Description: This is image is of Harold Lajimodiere (1922-2000) (far right) who served with the Essex Scottish Regiment of the Canadian Army during the Second World War. Three of his fellow service members appear to his immediate left. Originally from the Estevan, Saskatchewan area, his parents were Marceline Blondeau and Albert Lajimodiere. His great-grandparents were Jean-Baptiste Lagimodière and Marie-Anne Gadboury—Louis Riel’s maternal grandparents. Harold Lajimodiere was involved in the organization of Métis veterans in Saskatchewan before he passed away in 2000.
