Description: Morris was interviewed on August 15, 2001 in Fort Simpson, Northwest Territories. Morris started as a guitar player and he shares the first time that he picked up the fiddle. He often attended dances when he was growing up as part of his social life and he discusses some of the dances that were played including the “Kissing Dance”. Morris earned money as a child so he could buy his own fiddle and the first fiddle he bought was around forty five dollars from the Eaton’s catalogue. Morris also discusses some of his musical influences. He discusses some of his family members and the lifestyle that he had growing up.
