Description: Joseph was interviewed on August 19, 1976 in Cumberland House, Saskatchewan. Joe MacAuley is a long time resident of Cumberland House. He remembers very little about Brady and Norris but talks briefly about the period before the war and the differences between the church school and the government schools; about the lack of drinking and crime in the early days and its prevalence now. He was in WWI and has since worked as a trapper as well as in various forestry jobs including 11 years as a tower man.
